Ashley Whited on the move
The Lady Falcons advanced to the Beach District Tournament finals with a 4-0 win over the Patriots of First Colonial. Ashley Whited scored the game’s first goal in the 12th minute off a through ball played by Kaitlynn Klamut on the right side. Three minutes later Jessie Klamut scored in the 15th minute when she ripped a shot from well outside the 18 yd. box that found the upper 90 degrees of the net. First half scoring ended in the 33rd minute when Brittany Krause first timed a ball crossed from the right by Jessie Klamut. Halftime score was Cox 3 – First Colonial 0. Play resumed in the 2nd half with the Falcons continuing to dominate. Emory Camper scores the Falcons final goal, unassisted, in the 42nd minute when she finishes a ball rebounded off a defender into the goal. Final score: Cox 4 – First Colonial 0. The Lady Falcons will face the winner of Wednesday’s semifinal match between Kellam and Ocean Lakes. The final is scheduled for Thursday, 5:15 p.m. at the Sportsplex.
