VIRGINIA BEACH, VA- 17 athletes from Frank W. Cox High School made their futures evident Wednesday, as they officially signed letters of intent or celebrated their commitment to attend colleges across the country for their sport. Feb. 4th marked the first day that high school seniors could sign scholarship papers for the following sports: Football, Men and Women’s Soccer, Water polo (Mens’ only), and more. The letter of intent is a binding agreement between the student-athlete and a college, by which the student-athlete agrees to attend the college for one academic year.
The following student athletes have made a commitment to compete in athletics at the collegiate level:
- Lane Wildman- will attend Wingate South Carolina to play baseball
- Daniel Petro- will attend Virginia Wesleyan to play baseball
- Casey Spanitz- will attend Mary Washington to play Volleyball
- Jack Reddeciff – will attend Delta State University from swimming
- Cole Smith- will attend William and Mary to play Mens’ Soccer
- Courtney Daniels- will attend Ohio State to play field hockey
- Suzie Pileckas- will attend Virginia Commonwealth to play field hockey
- Emma Haupt- will attend University of Virginia to play field hockey
- Black Camper- will attend University of South Carolina to play football
- Perry Schrader- will attend Rhode Island to play football
- Sam Brooks- will attend Hampden Sydney to play football
- Collin Sherman- will attend Washington and Lee to play football
- Bradley Jones- will attend Lenoir Rhyne to play football
- D’ontrell Harrington- will attend Shenandoah to play football
- Deshon Bell- will attend Shenandoah to play football
- Will Callaman- will attend George Mason for Mens’ Volleyball
- Brett Rosenmeier- will attend Hawaii for Mens’ Volleyball
